In our<\/div>\n<div>reality, people of diverse origins, nationalities,<\/div>\n<div>orientations and backgrounds come together<\/div>\n<div>to celebrate the world of images and ideas<\/div>\n<div>that depict the human experience of people of<\/div>\n<div>color all over the world.<\/div>\n<div>The international Black communities\u2014whether<\/div>\n<div>in Europe, Latin America or Africa \u2013 continue<\/div>\n<div>to play a disproportionately marginal role in<\/div>\n<div>the art of cinema. Further, many creative and<\/div>\n<div>visionary films lay languid, collecting dust<\/div>\n<div>without the light of a screening due to the lack<\/div>\n<div>of distribution structures or movie theaters in<\/div>\n<div>the hands of more sensitive programmers.<\/div>\n<div>Stereotypical images, myths and persistent<\/div>\n<div>bad taste characterize many of the films that<\/div>\n<div>pass for \u201cgood movies\u201d in the name of a<\/div>\n<div>\u201cnumbers\u201d game that determines whose world<\/div>\n<div>will get to be shown and whose won\u2019t.<\/div>\n<div>By placing the spotlight on innovative films<\/div>\n<div>that \u00a0otherwise would be ignored, ADIFF has<\/div>\n<div>created a privileged platform for many of<\/div>\n<div>these films.
