Inside ~ Outside<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>explores the works of 7 local artists. The artists show their work on gallery walls and\u00a0<\/span>inside<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>museums while embracing a practice of street art and public installations. The influence of their\u00a0<\/span>outside<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>practices is apparent in their interior sculptures and canvases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside ~ Outside<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>coincides with\u00a0<\/span>All Along the Watchtower<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/span>a public art installation by Artist Lady K Fever on the Acropolis\u00a0 in Marcus Garvey Park.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The installation is best viewed as the sun begins to set and dusk approaches.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>All Along the Watchtower<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>is made almost entirely of light reflective materials, the flash of the viewers camera will cause the materials to illuminate creating a soft glow all along the Acropolis.<\/div>\n

Meet up with the artist and Marcus Garvey Park Alliance President Connie Lee at Heath Gallery at\u00a0<\/span>7:45 pm<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and join us on a walk through of the Acropolis. Bring a camera with a flash or just your cell phone. The installation is sponsored by the\u00a0<\/span>Marcus Garvey Park Alliance<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Public Art Initiative<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>with funding provided by the\u00a0<\/span>Harlem Community Development Corporation.<\/strong><\/div>\n
