Recently the owner and general manager of Jado Sushi<\/a> reached out to HarlemCondoLife about a new event they will be hosting. \u00a0To celebrate the diversity of the community and their 1-year anniversary, Jado Sushi will launch a new weekly social party for the LGBT community called J’adore Jado Sundays <\/strong>starting on Sunday, July 7th, 2013. \u00a0We are always happy to hear and encourage \u00a0businesses that get involved with their neighborhood and community.<\/p>\n

This casual party offers the Harlem LGBT community a place to socialize, meet and have fun in the sexy, urban atmosphere that Jado Sushi is known for. \u00a0At 9 pm, Jado will switch gear to party mode as a live DJ begins to play music. \u00a0In addition to the regular bar drinks, a selection of special cocktails will be served. \u00a0Jado’s signature appetizers and sushi rolls will also be available to order. \u00a0See our previous menu review here<\/span><\/a><\/span>. \u00a0Try their glazed short ribs or Jado chicken appetizers along with the sushi rolls, delicious!<\/p>\n

The soon-to-open new sidewalk cafe will offer an additional open-air lounge. \u00a0Yes, you heard right! \u00a0Jado will join their neighbors Lido, Bier International, Harlem Food Bar, Harlem Tavern etc, with sidewalk dining in Harlem.<\/p>\n

Jado Sushi, the first and only premier sushi restaurant in Harlem, opened on July 25th 2012. \u00a0We were at their soft opening, grand opening and since then have been back for dinner too many times to count. \u00a0The food is consistently good, the servers are friendly and efficient. \u00a0If there are any problems the General Manager (Juan) and Owner (Nobu), are right on point to correct them. \u00a0At Jado you can expect authentic sushi and Latin inspired dishes in the beautifully designed setting where celebrities like DJ Sway, Danny Glover and Tamara Tunie have been sighted. \u00a0Harry Belafonte, named as one of three grand marshals for NYC Pride March 2013, also frequents the restaurant. \u00a0As we have stated before, Jado Sushi is the sister-store of The Winery, <\/strong>the\u00a0popular wine store on 116th Street just off FDB. \u00a0Both places we have posted frequently about here on our blog.<\/p>\n
