its important and colorful <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-26626\" alt=\"schomburg\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/schomburg.jpg\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/schomburg.jpg 120w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/schomburg-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 120px) 100vw, 120px\" \/>past and its vibrant present. \u00a0I am a native and long time resident of Harlem and I learned a few things I did not know about this\u00a0amazing neighborhood. \u00a0The visit to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypl.org\/locations\/schomburg\" target=\"_blank\">Schomburg<\/a> and the backstage tour of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apollotheater.org\/about\/mission\" target=\"_blank\">Apollo<\/a>\u00a0with Billy Mitchell were<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-26622\" alt=\"apollo\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/apollo-e1391387730802.jpg\" width=\"234\" height=\"175\" \/>particularly interesting, \u00a0It was also great fun to see Toni sample some of Harlem&#8217;s favorite foods, escorted on her &#8220;Taste of Harlem&#8221; tour by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemheritage.com\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Neal Shoemaker<\/a>, the founder of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemheritage.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harlem Heritage Tours<\/a>,\u00a0which ran the gamut from wings &amp; waffles at <a href=\"www.amyruthsharlem.com\" target=\"_blank\">Amy Ruth&#8217;s<\/a> to to red velvet cake at one of my personal favorites, <a href=\"www.makemycake.com\" target=\"_blank\">Make My Cake<\/a>.. \u00a0I\u00a0had not previously seen this show, <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-26631\" alt=\"make my cake\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/make-my-cake.png\" width=\"141\" height=\"118\" srcset=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/make-my-cake.png 202w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/make-my-cake-100x83.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 141px) 100vw, 141px\" \/>which is both hosted and executive produced by Toni Senecal,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #444444;
