\"harlem<\/a>On Harlem Demo Day April 23, four uptown entrepreneurs will pitch their start-ups before a group of judges in the hopes of winning a cash prize\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is sponsored by\u00a0Harlem Co-working Meet Up group<\/a>,\u00a0Silicon Harlem, Spring Bank, the Harlem Garage and TTW Consulting.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at Harlem Garage. \u00a0One of many Harlem-based leading edge businesses including\u00a0<\/span>Harlem Garage<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Harlem Biospace<\/a>. \u00a0The city’s Economic Development Corporation has plans to\u00a0launch a second incubator<\/a>\u00a0in the area. \u00a0And\u00a0Silicon Harlem<\/a>‘s monthly events grow more crowded each month.<\/p>\n

Says\u00a0Bruce Lincoln<\/strong>, Senior Fellow, Columbia Institute for Tele-Information, Columbia Business School & Silicon Harlem founder:<\/p>\n

“What’s unique to Harlem is that it has always drawn creative, artistic people. Artists and creators today work with technology. \u00a0 We are a community on the rise. \u00a0We see Harlem as being an innovation center.”<\/p>\n

Winners will receive a cash prize and a year of free business checking from Spring Bank along with public relations help from Pixel Prose Media.<\/p>\n
