The world’s celebration of the World Cup in Brazil is a great opportunity to leverage the excitement and energy to help the Harlem community. \u00a0Take a moment to learn about and support FC Harlem.<\/p>\n

FC Harlem is a community youth development organization \u00a0using \u00a0\u201cThe World\u2019s Game\u201d as a platform to develop\u00a0L.I.O.NS\u00a0Leaders\u00a0In\u00a0Our\u00a0Neighborhoods\u2122<\/p>\n

Their mission is to give underserved youth the skills and support they need to be fearless in life. \u00a0They use soccer as the means to connect with young people both on and off the field. \u00a0Through sport, they instill resilience, integrity, responsibility, compassion and a team mentality.\u00a0 Through academic and leadership programs, they\u00a0deliver knowledge and experiences that propel young people to new levels of success. \u00a0They serve youth in Harlem, Washington Heights and Bronx with a particular focus on our Black and Latino population.<\/p>\n

Their vision is to envision a world in which all young people are entirely free to build successful, fulfilling lives; a world where they are encouraged and fully prepared to become global citizens, confident leaders and role models to their peers.<\/p>\n
