A year later, on September 19, 2005, Sylvester himself was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame for his achievement as an artist. \u00a0An activist who campaigned against the spread of\u00a0<a title=\"HIV\/AIDS\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HIV\/AIDS\" target=\"_blank\">HIV\/AIDS<\/a>, Sylvester died from complications arising from the virus in 1988. \u00a0HOWEVER &#8211; his trailblazing style and his love of life and music lives on in events like Sundae Sermon. \u00a0Which is one of the many reasons why Sundae Sermon matters.<\/p>\n<p>We hope the community&#8217;s love for this event \u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/2014\/08\/09\/news-new-york-daily-news-harlem-residents-craving-return-stormin-normans-sundae-sermon-june-30-2014\/\" target=\"_blank\">recently featured in a leading NYC publication<\/a>\u00a0thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/search-results\/search-results-7.113?q=Michael+Feeney&amp;nydn-search-url=site\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Feeney<\/a>, \u00a0helped in some small way to tip the scales in the event&#8217;s favor.<\/p>\n<p>AMEN!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sundae Sermon is back this Sunday in Harlem!
