A\u00a0read\u00a0a story today which I found inspiring\u00a0and which I’d like to share.\u00a0 While not about Harlem per se, it\u00a0evokes the\u00a0spirit of Harlem.\u00a0\u00a0 Namely to strive for and realize that which seems improbable or impossible.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Or to quote Bill Powell who passed away this week:<\/p>\n
\u201cStand firm.<\/p>\n
Never give up.<\/p>\n
Never give in.<\/p>\n
Believe in yourself,<\/p>\n
even when others don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
There are millions of inspiring stories.\u00a0 Each one is uniquely important.\u00a0 Each one matters.\u00a0 Each one can make\u00a0or change a life.\u00a0\u00a0 Each one deserves to be shared.\u00a0\u00a0 Heard.\u00a0 Celebrated.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Finding or making the time to do so is challenging.\u00a0\u00a0 Which is precisely why I’d like to take a moment from time to time to share such stories with you our readers.\u00a0\u00a0 So that we may remain inspired about the impossible.\u00a0 The improbable.\u00a0\u00a0 The achievable.<\/p>\n
