There are rumors floating around <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.villagevoice.com\/forkintheroad\/archives\/2010\/01\/marcus_samuelss.php\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a> that famous chef and Harlem resident <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chefmarcussamuelsson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marcus Samuelsson <\/a>maybe opening a new restaurant&#8230;in Harlem.<br \/>\nCould Marcus want to give <a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/2009\/08\/31\/mojo-featured-in-american-express-and-nbc-universals-shine-a-light\/\" target=\"_self\">MOJO<\/a> or Zomas or Melba&#8217;s some competition on Frederick Douglass Blvd, <a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/2009\/10\/26\/harlems-frederick-douglass-blvd-gaining-another-restaurant\/\" target=\"_self\">the avenue we have been predicting to become Harlem&#8217;s restaurant row?<\/a> If so, it would not be a long commute for Chef Samuelsson. I have seen him with my own eyes getting on the subway on the B and C line heading downtown.<br \/>\nI called his PR rep today to get the lowdown and to calm my excitment. This is their statement: &#8220;At this point there are no plans for him to open up a restaurant. [He is] always looking at interesting spaces and real estate opportunities, but nothing is set in stone.&#8221;<br \/>\nHmm. I really hope Marcus&#8217; broad PR statement and business plans get directed to Harlem. What do you think? Do you want Marcus Samuelsson to open up a restaurant in Harlem?
