Reflections on the Permanent Collection<\/a><\/em>. This collection of eight distinct exhibits features a mix of media materials and artwork given to the museum and explores how art is produced and presented.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4730\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4730\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/studio41.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4730 \" title=\"Studio4\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/studio41.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4730\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Abstract by Julie Meheretu (from SMH website)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Of the eight exhibits, my favorite was \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artdaily.com\/index.asp?int_sec=2&amp;int_new=37275\" target=\"_blank\">Catalogue: Systems of Dis\/Order<\/a>\u201d, an exhibit displaying artwork that challenges normal perceptions of order with various creative patterns and shapes. I was also drawn to a collage entitled \u201cPanthera\u201d by <a href=\"http:\/\/mickalenethomas.com\/bio.html\" target=\"_blank\">Mickalene Thomas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While \u201cCatalogue: Systems of Dis\/Order\u201d and \u201cPanthera\u201d were some personal highlights, all eight exhibits have interesting and beautiful artwork. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
