ACP Aves). \u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laundromatproject.org\/home.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Laundromat Project<\/a>, a community-based non-profit arts organization, sponsors art workshops where local residents can create their own art. \u00a0The \u201cdrop in\u201d workshops are taught by professional artists on everything from solar printing to sidewalk painting.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-project-11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5900\" title=\"Laundromat project 1\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-project-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" srcset=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-project-11.jpg 546w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-project-11-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>The Laundromat Project is committed to the idea that \u201ccreativity is a central component of healthy human beings, vibrant neighborhoods, and thriving economies\u201d, and so they bring art education to community members in their own neighborhoods &#8211;\u00a0all ages and levels of experience are welcome.\u00a0 \u00a0The Art Workshops are scheduled from 12-3pm every Sunday.\u00a0 Yesterday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laundromatproject.org\/staff.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Maya Valladares<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5903\" title=\"laundromat 4\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-4.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-4.jpg 346w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/laundromat-4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> taught participants how to create original designs and print them on fabrics.\u00a0 Stop by next Sunday for bookmaking with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laundromatproject.org\/staff.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Shani Peters<\/a>. \u00a0The workshops are held every week through October. \u00a0A detailed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laundromatproject.org\/works-in-progress.htm\" target=\"_blank\">schedule<\/a> can be found on their website, along with information about how to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laundromatproject.org\/support.htm\" target=\"_blank\">volunteer or support <\/a>the project.<\/p>\n<p>The Laundromat Project<\/p>\n<p>Works in Progress Art Workshop Schedule<br \/>\n12 \u2013 3pm every Sunday, May 23 \u2013 Oct 20, 2010<br \/>\nAt the Laundry Room, 143 West 116th St (between Lenox &amp;
