Yeah right. The evening ended up being quite the opposite. I got sucked into the real-time online coverage of Paul McCartney playing at the <a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/?s=Apollo+Theater\" target=\"_blank\">Apollo Theater<\/a> in Harlem, December 13 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/?status=Paul%20McCartney%20Concert%20Setlist%20at%20Harlem%20Apollo,%20Empire%20State,%20NY,%20USA:%20http:\/\/bit.ly\/fjbFWF%20(via%20@setlistfm)#!\/HarlemCondoLife\" target=\"_blank\">mainly on twitter<\/a>. I am a huge Paul\/George\/John\/Ringo fan so it was easy for me to drop everything.<\/p>\n<p>There were a variety of tweets that came in throughout the evening giving you a<a href=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9845\" title=\"1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7.jpg?w=300\" height=\"300\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7.jpg 612w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/harlemcondolife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/1d546493338f453dbca3556b3c9d7105_7-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> sense of what was happening. <a href=\"http:\/\/twitpic.com\/3fq5ze\" target=\"_blank\">Deepak Chopra<\/a> seemed to have the first photo make it out of the Apollo. Then followed by <a href=\"http:\/\/twitpic.com\/3fq533\" target=\"_blank\">Martha Stewart<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While there were several twitters telling their followers in real-time what songs McCartney was performing at the Apollo, the Examiner.com was quick &#8211; and the first to provide <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/beatles-in-national\/paul-mccartney-goes-wild-at-apollo-theater-the-complete-set-list\" target=\"_blank\">the complete set list <\/a>right after the event was over, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/beatles-in-national\/paul-mccartney-at-the-apollo-picture?slide=27098806#main\" target=\"_blank\">along with photos<\/a> and a post on which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/beatles-in-national\/celebrities-turn-out-for-paul-mccartney-s-show-at-the-apollo-theater-picture#main\" target=\"_blank\">celebrities attended <\/a>the event.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the Examiner was topped by a subscriber on YouTube, who soon posted live audio from the event right at 11 PM on December 13, which I have posted here. Hurry\u00a0up and listen to it soon &#8230;who knows how long it will last!<\/p>\n<p>[youtube=http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sdkznd-_qsM]<\/p>\n<p>According to several online reports, McCartney called the Apollo Theater &#8220;the holy grail&#8221; and a place he has &#8220;dreamed of playing for many a year.&#8221; What a nice touch and respectable acknowledgement to the Apollo by McCartney.
