About The Lavender Light Gospel Choir

Founded in 1985, The Lavender Light Gospel Choir is a mixed choir of women and men who believe that music can heal the world! It is the world’s fi rst and only LGBT, non-denominational gospel choir that encompasses many ethnic and spiritual backgrounds. The Lavender Light Gospel Choir is dedicated to keeping alive the black gospel music tradition in an environment supportive to lesbian and gay people and strives to be a visible force in this world, offering strength, peace and hope to all. They build bridges within the community and heal souls through the sheer power of music.

Just a reminder… As we had posted last week Harlem Pop-Up… is happening this Thursday night, October 11,  from 4:00pm – 9:00pm .  This will be New York City’s first night time Farmers Market!  Fresh local fruits and vegetables, cheeses, breads, wines & baked goods along with live music.

You can also expect prepared foods from Harlem Tavern, Lido and The 5 & Diamond Restaurants.

Harlem Pop-Up will be held at The Harlem Treasure Chest Flea Market.  Located at the corner of 117th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

Stop by anytime after work (staring at 4:00pm) and pick up your night-time shopping list or delicious prepared foods from favored restaurants on Harlem’s Restaurant Row at this unique and first ever event.
