Now Showing at The Studio Museum of Harlem

Screen shot 2013 01 12 at 4.18.39 PM Now Showing at The Studio Museum of HarlemIf you get the chance, don’t miss the exhibition celebrating legendary photographer, filmmaker, musician and writer Gordon Park’s centenary year (he would have turned 100 on November 30th , 2012) at The Studio Museum of Harlem.

Director and Chief Curator Thelma Golden and Assistant Curator Lauren Haynes’ Gordon Parks: A Harlem Family 1967, features black and white photographs of the Fontenelle family, whose lives Parks documented as part of a 1968 Life magazine photo essay. It’s an intimate history, capturing the gritty essence of another time in Harlem.

The show runs through March 10th.
