Million Dollar Listing Caught Filming in Harlem

Million Dollar Listing Caught Filming in Harlem

Harlem more and more is becoming a destination for film and TV.  From “Selling New York“, “Black Ink Crew“, to “Elementary” just to name a few of the more recent shows that have filmed here in Harlem.

Now we can add to the list “Million Dollar Listing” where a crew was spotted filming last week in the neighborhood.  We received an email with a couple of photos from a reader and fan of Harlem, informing us that last Thursday while walking around he came across the filming of Million Dollar Listing which airs on Bravo.

Here is a photo from the filming.  Our source tells us  ”Luis Ortiz is the VP of Keller Williams and also Million Dollar Listing’s new hit star.”
We are not certain who the other gentleman in the photo is but our source is pretty sure he is Robb Pair, President of Harlem Lofts and MANAR.
.
We look forward to watching this episode when it airs on Bravo this season.

Selling New York – Features Harlem Yet Once Again On HGTV Tonight!

Selling New York Features Harlem Yet Once Again On HGTV Tonight!

A friend to our blog let us know that an episode of “Selling New York” will air tonight on the HGTV channel with many Harlem businesses represented.

From what I am told, you can expect to see on this particular episode the very popular 5 and Diamond Restaurant on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, Cedric French Bistro located on 119th Street, and Harlem’s famous Make my Cake on 116th Street.

Here is a clip from an episode of SELLING NEW YORK.

Already a fan of HGTV’s “Selling New York”, “House Hunters” and “House Hunters International” we are especially looking forward to seeing “our Harlem” represented on this new episode of Selling New York.  FYI, this is the third time Harlem has been represented on Selling New York.  We here at HarlemCondoLife are not at all surprised to see more attention coming to Harlem.

Make sure to tune in tonight  to “Selling New York” on HGTV at 6:30pm.

Selling Harlem On HGTV’s Hit Show “Selling New York”

Selling Harlem On HGTVs Hit Show Selling New York

How hot is Harlem?

One indication is the number of times it has been featured on Selling New York, one of the best shows on real estate, in our opinion.

Harlem has been featured on three episodes recently:  west, central and east.  The neighborhood looks great, and the units are spectacular.  Two weeks ago they featured the Apex Condominiums which are located above the Aloft Hotel on West 124th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard.  The client was so impressed with the neighborhood and the condo that he ended up purchasing an additional unit in the same building.  Last weeks episode included an old church that had been beautifully renovated into a living loft on East 112th Street and 2nd Avenue.  The broker stated that East Harlem is an up and coming neighborhood attracting a lot of Downtowners.  For the Grand Opening and viewing of this property they hired a DJ and The Harlem Gospel Choir performed.

Check it out for yourself, on HGTV.  You can find “Selling New York” on Thursdays at 9:30PM on HGTV channel 64.

Core real estate will handle 1280 Fifth in East Harlem

According to the Real Deal, East Harlem’s new 116-unit tower on Central Park, 1280 Fifth Avenue will be marketed through Core, which is featured on HGTV’s Selling New York.

The edifice was built to complement its next door neighbor, the Museum for African Art,  and launched sales in October 2010.

Prices at the Robert A.M. Stern-designed building, between 109th and 110th streets, range from $595,000 to approximately $3.25 million, according to Core.

The amenity-rich tower offers studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom pads, as well as penthouse units — some as large as 2,118 square feet. Tom Postilio, Natalie Rakowski, Parul Brahmbhatt of Core will be handling sales for the building, under the direction of Core CEO Shaun Osher.
