Sherri Shepherd, of The View and 30 Rock fame, has a new book coming out titled Plan D: How To Lose Weight And Beat Diabetes (Even If You Don’t Have It).
This comedian, actress, author and one time Harlem resident presents her easy-to-follow program for losing weight, managing sugar sensitivity, and getting moving – all to help you feel and look your best.
This looks like a good book for those who do not have diabetes and would like to keep it that way as well. Healthy is the new trendy.
The Publication date is 4/30/2013, or you can pre-order it now. Pre-order and read more about this book here.
*Sherri Shepherd will be at Barnes & Noble (Tribeca) signing her new book in May. (Date to be announced)
Congratulations Sherri, you look great!

Good friend to HarlemCondoLife Melba of Melba’s Restaurant on Frederick Douglass Blvd., will be appearing on Food Network’s premiere episode of “Fat Chef” on Thursday, January 26 at 10pm. She will also be a guest on The View Thursday, January 26 at 11am.
Congratulations to Melba on all her new recent success. It could not have happened to a nicer person.
Don’t forget to check out Melba’s Restaurant located at the corner of 114 st. on Frederick Douglass Blvd. We just had dinner there last week and are in the process of writing a new review for 2012 of Melba’s.

By HarlemGuy There are many things I love about Harlem. One of them is that it can still feel miles away, undiscovered, private. Which is why I was so thrilled to run into The Views’ Sherri Shepherd on a recent Sunday afternoon in one of my favorite Harlem Parks.
As it turns out we both have a family member in common, so I took the opportunity to introduce myself.
She engaged me in conversation cordially and could not have been nicer. In all fairness, I was a bit nervous, but we exchanged briefly that we both live in the area and mentioned a couple favorite restaurants, Melba’s, being one of them.
You never know who you will run into in Harlem. It was nice to see Sherri relaxing with her family in our beloved neighborhood.

I was catching up on The View today (Wed. 11/11).
Sheri Shepherd announced that she will be signing copies of her new book “Permission Slip: Every Woman’s Guide to giving herself a Break” at the Hue-Man bookstore in Harlem this Saturday.
