My husband, daughter and I stopped by recently when we were looking for a place to eat. We saw Koko Wings on 106th off Broadway and looked at the menu. We gave it a shot and enjoyed it.
Koko Wings is about 1 month old and they have
great Korean wings. They are delicious and come in Hot and Spicy, Garlic flavored or a combination. I had the hot and spicy wings, my husband had the boneless. I ordered the sweet potato fries and they were served with a honey mustard dip which I enjoyed. It comes with a side so I had the cole slaw which was delicious too.
We can’t wait to got back or order in!

In a followup to our earlier post, the exciting new pizza place replacing the convenient but sometimes mediocre Pizzeria 123 is called Fuel (custom pizza•salads) and according to their website, the vintage gasoline station-themed cafe seems to be the first New York outpost of a North Carolina (and Washington DC) chain, although according to their website the originators are from New York:
The online menu seems to have quite a few pizza, sandwich, salad and wing choices. Hopefully this will be another solid and inexpensive dining choice in the neighborhood. Welcome to the neighborhood Custom Fuel Pizza.

I was just walking by Atomic Wings and they are open again for business. After speaking with an employee they informed me that they re-opened yesterday (7/22/10). As we recently posted it appeared they had closed down for good. Based on reader feedback let’s hope the management improves staff and service. Better luck second time around.
