American cuisine will be offered in the space pictured above and the chef creating and serving up those meals will bring experience from Eleven Madison and Chanterelle, according to the co-owner of this new restaurant space. This new restaurant will be located on Frederick Douglass Blvd between 112th and 113th Street. The opening date and name of the place are not ready to be disclosed yet, however the co-owner stressed “hopefully soon, very soon!” Of course, HarlemCondoLife will keep you posted on the details!
With this restaurant coming soon, along with the anticipated opening of the Italian restaurant on the corner of FDB and 117th Street and recent openings, such as Questan’s, these actions continue to support our predication: FDB, also known as 8th Avenue, is on its way to become Harlem’s restaurant row.

Does anyone know the deal with the Italian place on FDB? I think it’s called Frizzante or something. I am hoping it will not be cheesy (no pun intended) but rather something cozy and casual with good brick oven pizza. The artisanal pizza places are the ones that seem to always do well no matter what the neighborhood.

Martin,
We do not know exactly what is up. What we have heard is rumors that one of the owners or investors (?) comes from 67 Orange and Society Cafe. I have asked around at both of those places if its true and if anyone knows when this Italian restaurant is opening! No says a thing. We posted about this place.

We will keep searching and as soon as we know something we will pass along!

Yessss! This looks like a nice place. I hope it will help clean up this block a bit too. The deli next door in that photo has been steadily cleaning up its look and bringing in some new products, and the drug dealers seem to have moved off the corner. Go Harlem!

Michael,
I agree. Go Harlem! And let’s see who moves into that boarded up liquor store on the opposite corner. Since I have moved here, I have seen gradual changes happening along Frederick Douglass Blvd from 110th all the way up to 125th. This new restaurant will be a nice added edition. Yes!
