There is a lot of excitement building, on and offline, around Harlem Tavern, the latest establishment soon joining Harlem’s restaurant row. There is so much excitement that every where you turn either on local blogs or Facebook someone has new photos of Harlem Tavern evolving in their look. We haven’t seen this much excitement around one place since the rumors on Busboys and Poets trying to enter into the Harlem market.

We are excited as well about the opening of Harlem Tavern, located on the corner of West 116th and Frederick Douglass Blvd. To celebrate the upcoming opening, we are going to be giving you an “inside look” at Harlem Tavern. What does this mean? You are going to be able to find out the little things, pre-opening, about this indoor/outdoor establishment that is owned and operated by…you guessed…Harlemites. Stay tune!

  2. No other establishment has created more excitement than the Red Rooster.

    • Thank you for your comment. Red Rooster definitely had plenty of excitement around its opening. But keep in mind, that was backed by a large publicity machine (I personally know) and funded by a very successful celebrity chef. I know for a fact that Harlem Tavern has no such approach? They are just trying to open for business. So I believe the excitement I am witnessing around them is purely organic with no spin doctors working for them. I mentioned Busboys and Poets because our numbers went through the roof when we blogged about them, more so than Red Rooster, and they weren’t even in Harlem yet. So that’s why I mentioned them. Red Rooster definitely had its day in the sun so to speak. Now its time for someone else to shine along with the many other establishments that have opened in Harlem. There’s plenty of room for success in Harlem for every business. That’s what makes Harlem great! Thanks again for stopping by!
