Minton's Harlem Jazz

On Friday June 16th, Minton’s Harlem celebrates Jazz legend and Harlem’s own Bud Powell, a leading figure in modern jazz, also known as bebop, as was his close friend and musical compatriot Thelonious Monk. They both performed at the original Minton’s, and this special evening of straight-ahead jazz will feature three of the hottest young jazz talents – Theo Hill (piano) – Alex Claffy (bass) – Aaron Kimmel (drums).
