 Inside Streetbird Rotisserie.

Marcus Samuelson’s follow-up to Red Rooster called Streetbird opens on 116th and Frederick Douglass Boulevard to an enthusiastic crowd.  This latest addition to the area we first dubbed as Harlem Restaurant Row ups the ante to this incredible Harlem location.

The 5 and Diamond will be having specials on drinks and tasty dishes for Super Bowl Sunday in Harlem!  Specials on mac ‘n cheese, wings (Asian and buffalo), ribs w/ coleslaw, fries and salad.  Stop by if you are looking for a more intimate setting than a sports bar to watch the big game.

Harlem Restaurant Row Goes Mobile

HarlemCondoLife is happy to see that “Harlem Restaurant Row” (the phrase, the concept, the place) is  maintstream, as friend to our publication Michael Feeney reinforces in his latest piece in the Daily News.

After several delays earlier this year, food trucks arrived on Frederick Douglass Boulevard.  It was a huge success.  Which translates into more trucks coming soon – starting May 10th.

We love a good food truck.  Our one hope is that Harlem businesses will broaden their brand and their reach by setting up and/or bringing their own food trucks to the party.  See our previous post Harlem Food Truck Rally.

Welcome one.  Welcome all.  Welcome food trucks to Harlem Restaurant Row.      See the full NY Daily News article below.

In a further sign of a thawing real estate market in general and in South Harlem (SoHa) specifically, real estate brokerage Douglass Elliman is relocating a new office on 114th and Frederick Douglass Boulevard (also known as Harlem Restaurant Row and Harlem’s Gold Coast, phrases we coined here at HarlemCondoLife.com).

Welcome to your new location located on the first floor of The Douglass!

Looks like very soon and hopefully any day now Vinateria will be opening their door to New York in Harlem.  After speaking with one of the owners recently about what we can expect from them, it remains pretty much the same as what we posted a few months back (see previous post) Vinateria Coming Along In Harlem.  Gustavo Lopez will be developing Vinateria’s menu and daily specials, and Gabriela Davogustto will be developing their wine and beverage program.

The concept behind Vinateria is expected to be a full food and wine offerings with an Italian/global influence.  Sounds good to me.  A corner location for a new restaurant is always a plus , Melba’s, Lido, Chocolàt, Maison Harlem and now soon Vinateria. Stay tuned for our menu review and opening announcements coming soon.

Find them on their Facebook page for updates and additional information.

We were the first to christen 8th ave from 110th to 125th Harlem Restaurant Row. We are pleased to write that Harlem is part of yet another trend. Harlem is now a premiere destination for the filming of all sorts – from music videos to tv/cable programming, movies, etc.

Just today Elementary was setup to film on 114th between 8th and 9th.

Harlem is the place to be for some of the best food in the world.

In the last few years Harlem has seen a surge of new eateries join the mix.

HarlemCondoLife.com sensed that when we were the first to christen 8th avenue between 110th and 125th as “HarlemRestaurantRow” and your “Gateway To Harlem”.

With that in mind below are HarlemCondoLife.com’s restaurant reviews following by all other restaurant related posts.
