What cuisines would you like to see in Harlem?

thai market

One of our favorite restaurants is Thai Market.  They are adjacent to Harlem and deliver into Harlem.  They are reliable, courteous, quick, well priced, and the food is always great, always consistent in taste, quality and quantity.   I realized just how much I like them (and just how bad the conditions are in Harlem tonight) when I called and they told me they could not deliver to my area (which includes Restaurant Row) because it is too slippery.  Which I totally understand.

If you have not tried this place, please do.  It’s great.

The 5 And Diamond on Harlem Restaurant Row – Super Bowl Sunday

The 5 and Diamond will be having specials on drinks and tasty dishes for Super Bowl Sunday in Harlem!  Specials on mac ‘n cheese, wings (Asian and buffalo), ribs w/ coleslaw, fries and salad.  Stop by if you are looking for a more intimate setting than a sports bar to watch the big game.

Harlem Review – Harlem Food Bar – Fried Chicken

unnamed 2

We stopped by HFB on Thursday to try the fried chicken after hearing the buzz about it and we were so happy we did.  Wow!.. and I’m not kidding.

The chicken was D-licious.  Moist, tasty and crispy but not greasy.  It was accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and green beans that snap when you bite into them.  Luckily, we managed to score one of the last servings.  I had it with my favorite happy hour drink there, the Watermelon Martini which I like on the rocks.

All I could say during my meal to my husband was, ” I’m in heaven”. So see you there next Thursday as I can’t wait to go back for more! =)
