DJ Stormin’ Norman’s fabulous Sundae Sermon brought the happy party people once again to Morningside Park this past Sunday with incomparable guest DJ’s Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge. It was another packed house and perfect weather!
Unfortunately this was the last Summer 2012 event on the Hill in Harlem but Norman hinted that they are looking to have a final blast in another park in the next couple weeks so definitely check the website for further details.

Sundae Sermon is back this coming Sunday August 26th at 2 – 7pm. We are very happy to hear that it will be held in Morningside Park at it’s usual location. This Sunday will feature DJ MKL, DJ Tommy Bones, DJ Des Uno alongside DJ Stormin’ Norman. Located on Morningside Drive (upper level) and 114th Street Harlem, New York. Just look for the large crowd listening and dancing to great soulful house, classics and afroBeats… you’ll find it.
Bring a picnic basket and your family your friends or come by yourself, this event is for everyone. Last Sundae Sermon in July was very crowded and I assume this one will be to, so if you want to set up a spot on the lawn come early.
Sundae Sermon July 2012
Hope to see you all there. A big shout out to Stormin’ Norman and his ongoing efforts to make this #1 family afternoon party happen for our Harlem community. Let’s all go celebrate!

There will be a showing this Saturday night on April 14 at 9:30 PM, of HANDS TO THE SKY at Dixon Place, NYC’s Laboratory for Performance. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. For those of you who enjoy the Sundae Sermon parties with DJ Stormin’ Norman and a variety of guest DJ’s, you will definitely enjoy this film.
My House Rocs presents Hands to The Sky. Domingo Canate – Executive Producer; Angelo Boyke – Director/Editor; JP Noel – Co-Director/Producer; Wendy Arimah – Literary Supervisor/Associate Producer; Kervyn Mark – Music Supervisor/Co-Producer. Hands to The Sky is documentary that focuses on the House Music outdoor movement. It removes the dance experience from the confines of the box and plants it in the park, lays it on the beach and sets it in unexpected and exciting places. The adroit camera crew captures the passionate connection between the dancers and the DJ’s, as they explore the themes of love and unity that emanates from the speakers. It calls souls to a common heartbeat and reveals a mystical, musical revolution on the strength of radical peace and a powerful reflection of freedom.
