Pizzeria 123 closed for business again

Once again we’ll have to curb our craving for inexpensive pizza and curly fries, as Pizzeria 123 on Frederick Douglass and West 123rd, has been shuttered again by the Department of Health.

Back on April, 2012, the department found two violations. and deducted 9 points from their overall score but still gave them an A grade. This time it seems there’s a missing permit according to the notice on the door.

Thank goodness we have so many other delicious options in the area!!

  1. There is $1 pizza… 2 Brothers opened on 125th Street (btw Lex and Park) a few months ago. I haven’t tried it but my friends who have say… it tastes like $1 pizza 🙂 You get what you pay for!

  2. Over the last few years, given the close proximity to me and convenience of this Pizza place, I’ve ordered at least four times. Each order was a ‘give them the benefit of the doubt order,’ chances taken when you’re desperate for some quick grubb. Each time, I had a “never again” reaction then go back due to few other options in the neighborhood at certain times. The nail in the coffin was the slice that wreaked of ammonia. As for your “so many other delicious options in the area” comment, well I’m not so sure about that but I’m happy to see that we’re slowly starting to head in that direction.

  3. there food isn’t cheap at all, I’m wondering how long to Harlem get a 99 cent Pizza Slice store

  4. Well I believe that if the health department closed them AGAIN I don’t ever want to eat there Must be disgusting !
