Lasker Pool and all NYC Parks’ Outdoor Pools Are Open

NYC Parks’ outdoor pools are now open just in time for the heatwave!  See below for a listing of most of the pools in the Manhattan and Bronx area.  The Pools will be open from June 28 until September 3, 2012.

The outdoor pool hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a break for pool cleaning between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Early bird and night owl lap swim hours are also available at select sites.

List of Outdoor Pools:  Lasker Pool, Marcus Garvey, Sheltering Arms, Thomson Street, Tony Dapolito, John Jay, Highbridge, Hamilton Fish, Dry Dock, Asser Levy, Abe Lincoln, Frederick Douglass (outdoor mini pool), Jackie Robinson, Thomas Jefferson, Tompkins Square (oudorr mini pool), Claremont, Edenwald Houses, Haffen, Mullaly, Van Cortlandt, Mapes, Floating Pool, Bronx River Payground (outdoor mini pool), Crotona (Bronx)

  1. I went here last year, and I won’t deny that I had a wonderful experience here. The public pool installation here was enough to handle a large crowd. Regardless of how many people are there, there are still enough room to swim around the pool. If only I could come back here someday I won’t even think twice.

  2. Sometimes you can swim laps in the afternoon if the pool isn’t real crowded also. They set up a lane in the middle for swimmers.

  3. I was wondering when Lasker was opening I didn’t think it was until the 4th. Thanks for the info.
