Amanda Mobley Miss Harlem Shake 2015

Amanda Cropped

Amanda Mobley is her name, and she’s the 2015 winner of the Miss Harlem Shake competition. One of Harlem’s own, she was born here and mentors children.  She’s an interior designer, event producer and print model.  Ms. Mobley has generously chosen Harlem’s Church of the  Master, Adopt a School program to receive her $1,000 donation.

No stranger to beauty competitions, Ms. Mobley competed in the Miss New York USA pageant.  She chooses to live by example and encourages the young people she mentors to pursue their passion.

Ms. Mobley expressed her gratitude for having been voted the winner: I’m so honored to give back to an organization and community that has given so much to me.  This experience resonates so deeply for me as I’ve grown up here and experienced Harlem’s rich culture and participated in and was able to benefit from programs that I am now able to give back to.

Harlem Shake, located on 124th at Lenox Ave.,  holds the yearly competition for a woman who embodies their brand and represents the culture of the Harlem community.  Each winner is given the opportunity to choose an organization to receive a generous donation from Harlem Shakes.

Congratulations, Amanda Mobley!  We’ll look for you this Sunday, September 20th on the Harlem Shake float in the African American Day Parade!
