UPDATE  Jan. 26th:  Just wanted to post an Update that HARLEM VINTAGE  sold out every bottle of Haitian Rum “Barancourt” last night at the tasting they had for donating to “New Yorkers For Haiti” Way to go Harlem for showing support for a good cause!

TWO Great Events To Checkout – Jan. 24th & Jan. 25th.

SUNDAY Jan. 24rd.  Go Jets! “Nectar” Wine Bar (& Beer) are showing the Jets Game today. Kickoff time is at 3:00 PM.  “Wear some Jets gear and get a free beer.”

MONDAY Jan. 25th from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Join “Harlem Vintage” next door to Nectar, for a tasting party for the HAITIAN RUM “Barbancourt.”  Make a small donation to join the tasting.  All proceeds of the sale of Barancourt ($22.99) and the tasting will be matched by Harlem Vintage and donated to the charity “New Yorkers for Haiti”

  1. Just saw that Harlem Vintage is now officially closed and being marketed by the landlord. Hopefully something new and great will take its place!

  2. Thats great news Jai Jai. Yes by the time I came in you were already out of Barbancourt. Looking forward to trying it when you get more in! Will def check out L’ex Cafe on 107th. Thanks for your comment.

  3. We did order more Barbancourt! Folks loved it. I’m a “light weight” so had to have mine mixed with a juice medley for rum runner. Most folks drank it straight! We raised $300 and Harlem Vintage matched, so a total of $600 went to “NYers for Haiti” ( part of UNICEF). Not huge but every little bit helps. Check out L’ex Cafe on 107th & Manhattan- great b’fast grub and they have boxes for supplies donation. The owner is Haitian-born, Evens, and they are sending a container down in two weeks….
