The excitement on Frederick Douglass Boulevard continues….This summer, at 124th street and FDB, Harlem will finally get its hip new Aloft Hotel, a “vision” (according to the website) of the super-trendy W Hotels, owned by the Starwood group. It will feature 124 rooms for visitors and 44 condo units for those who want to stay for a good long while. And, of course, there will be a new addition to the local social scene called Bar W XYZ.
Curbed recently posted a final rendering on it’s website. The development is still under construction and covered in scaffolding for now–and the opening seems to have been pushed back–but this is what the projected finished building will look like. Is it a cause for excitement?

Thats good news… Bar W will be a nice addition to FDB & the Hotel will bring more business and traffic to the area.
