Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant took his talents to Harlem’s world-renowned pickup court Rucker Park on Monday night. The NBA’s reigning scoring champ “dazzled the crowd by scoring 66 points” at an Entertainers Basketball Classic, according to espn.go.com. A young Durant joins the list of all the NBA greats that have blessed Rucker Park with their talents, including  Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Julius Erving, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain.

“I’ve always wanted to play at Rucker Park all my life,” Durant told one of the league’s emcees. Since the NBA lockout more than a month ago, some players have hit the street courts to stay in shape and stay on point and as we know, some of the most exciting basketball in the world goes down right here in Harlem. Monday night was no exception.

After the game, Durant tweeted: “No lie, jus had one of the best times of my life at Rucker park..wow! I love NY…Harlem waddup.”
