More on the momentum in South Harlem

By HarlemGuy

Santa delivered an unexpected treat to HarlemGuy of HarlemCondoLife and our readers and fellow Harlem residents on Christmas day this year.

It took the form of a New York Times article on the Momentum in South Harlem, featuring a quote from HarlemGuy.

The article speaks to something we’ve long written about. The resurgence of Harlem and Frederick Douglass Boulevard from 110th and Frederick Douglass Circle northward in particular.

We’ve been pretty busy writing on what’s happening in Harlem with a focus on real estate, restaurants, retail and community events. For more on our blog please see all posts on HarlemCondoLife, many of which can also be found on Curbed.com.

  1. However now the mini-boom on FDB (as the article states), has spilled over to Adam Clayton Powell & Lenox expanding upwards past 125th street into the 130’s.

  2. The New York Times article about the Livmor at 301 West 115th Street failed to mention that the developer Phillip Morrow has been sued by the owners of other condo buildings he has built for code violations and inferior quality construction. It also failed to mention that the other developer Amon Shalhov was involved in a construction company implicated in the deaths of three tenants! I would advise any condo shoppers to avoid buying into the Livmor.
